Privacy Policy

Effective July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Koobit (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit the Koobitwebsite at koobit.org, download, access, or use mobile, desktop, and web applications developed or published by Koobit, or use our related features, content, support, and services (collectively, the “Service”).

01

Scope and app-specific notices

This policy applies to the Koobit website and all applications we develop or publish unless an application presents a separate privacy policy. An application may also provide additional notices when it requests a permission, enables a feature, or collects a particular category of information.

If an app-specific privacy notice differs from this policy, the app-specific notice controls for that application and the relevant processing. The name of the application, its store listing, and its in-app settings may provide further details about its features and data practices.

02

Information we may collect

The information processed depends on the features you use and the permissions you grant. It may include:

  • Information you provide: your name, email address, account details, support messages, and other information you choose to send us.
  • Device, website, and app usage information: device model, browser, operating system and app version, language and time zone, IP address, device or installation identifiers, referring pages, feature interactions, and approximate usage statistics.
  • Diagnostics: crash reports, error logs, performance data, and the date and time of an event.
  • App feature data and permissions: content, files, photos, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, notifications, Bluetooth, or precise or approximate location data only when needed for a feature you choose to use and subject to your device permissions.
  • Purchase information: app or product name, subscription status, transaction or receipt identifiers, and refund-related information. Payment credentials are processed by the applicable app store or payment provider, not by us.

Information that does not identify you may be aggregated or de-identified. If it is linked with identifiable information, we treat the combined information as personal data.

03

How information is collected

We collect information you voluntarily provide, information generated when you use the Service, and information received from app stores, operating-system providers, analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, fraud-prevention, and other service providers. The Service may use SDKs and similar technologies to perform these functions.

04

How we use information

We may use information to:

  • provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the Service;
  • enable requested features, accounts, purchases, and customer support;
  • send operational messages and notifications you have enabled;
  • measure performance, diagnose errors, and develop new features;
  • protect users, prevent fraud or misuse, and enforce our terms; and
  • comply with applicable law and valid legal requests.
05

Third-party services and SDKs

Depending on the website, application, platform, and features you use, the Service may rely on Apple App Store, Google Play, operating-system services, hosting providers, Firebase services such as Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging or Remote Config, advertising networks, payment processors, and other infrastructure providers. These providers may process device, usage, diagnostic, purchase, or advertising information under their own privacy policies.

Review the privacy controls and disclosures presented by the Service and your device. You can also review the policies of Google, Firebase, and Apple.

06

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website, applications, or third-party libraries may use cookies, SDKs, local storage, advertising identifiers, or similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, understand usage, and measure campaigns. Where required, we request consent. You may control cookies, permissions, and advertising identifiers through your browser or device settings, although disabling them may affect some features.

07

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information:

  • to vendors processing it on our behalf to provide and support the Service;
  • when you direct us or give consent;
  • to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
  • to investigate fraud, security issues, policy violations, or threats to rights and safety; or
  • as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
08

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described above, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and context. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information where permitted.

09

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10

Your choices and privacy rights

You can manage many permissions, notifications, cookies, and advertising identifiers through device or browser settings. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to the processing of, or receive a portable copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent or complain to a supervisory authority.

To submit a request, email support@koobit.org. We may verify your identity before responding and may retain information where law permits or requires.

11

Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

12

International data transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards intended to provide an appropriate level of protection for international transfers.

13

Third-party links and tracking signals

The Service may link to websites or services we do not operate. Their practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, and mobile platforms may provide separate tracking-permission controls. You can use the browser, device, operating-system, and in-app privacy controls described above instead.

14

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised policy takes effect when posted on this page, as shown by the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

Questions, concerns, or privacy requests can be sent to support@koobit.org.
